Statutory Requirements
Pupil Premium Provision
Pupil Premium funding is additional funding that forms part of our school budget.
The Pupil Premium is allocated for children from low-income families who are currently known to be eligible for free school meals (FSM) in both mainstream and non-mainstream settings and children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months.
The Pupil Premium is allocated to the school and is clearly identifiable. It is for the school to decide how the Pupil Premium, allocated per FSM pupil, is spent, since we are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for individual pupils within our responsibility.

PE Grant/Sports Premium
The government continues to provide additional funding of £150 million per annum to support schools in providing substantial primary school sports funding. The funding is provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport and is allocated directly to schools. This sports premium is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision of PE and sport in schools.
At Shade Primary School we believe we have developed an action plan to ensure that the sports premium is spent on initiatives which will have a long lasting impact on the future learning and physical development of our children.

Music Development Plan
All schools should have a music development plan, as set out in the national plan for music education.
