Clubs and Activities
Netball
We are lucky to have Mrs Pearson who comes along on Thursdays after school to coach children from Year 5 and 6 in how to play netball.
They are training hard to improve their skills and hopefully to be picked for the team to play against the other schools in Todmorden.
So good luck to all the players.
Football
We have both boys and girls football teams, who compete locally in tournaments against other schools. Our girls football is a new initiative this week and we now have 14 girls coming to football training every Monday for an hour before school. Great commitment girls!
Boys football club will be starting in February ready for the spring and summer football competitions.
Drama Club
Miss Marshal will be starting a KS1 and a KS2 club next half-term!
Choir
We have a school choir that meets every Wednesday after school all year. We perform in special assemblies but in lots of other place also. A regular event is the Todmorden Dementia Friendly Christmas sing at St Mary's church which we really enjoy. We also have a regular slot at Shade Shines, our annual Key Stage 2 Talent show.
Every other year we take part in Young Voices and we get to sing at Manchester Arena.
Last year we were part of the Todmorden Jubilee choir and performed on the park with an orchestra. It was a piece written by local composer Daniel Bath and was all about the history of Todmorden.
We also performed on the Hippodrome stage in their production of Evita; it was very exciting!
