Shade Nursery
Are you looking for a Nursery place for your child? Why not pop in to one of our open sessions and come and meet the EYFS team and have a look around our super early years learning environment! We welcome children to our Nursery class in the September, January or April after their third birthday.
Nursery children are met on the bottom playground and brought into school by the Nursery staff at 8:50 each morning. At the end of the day the children are taken back out onto the bottom yard to meet parents near the 'dragon' at 3.30pm.
The majority of children at Shade School have school lunches. Our lunches are prepared by Todmorden High School kitchens. Some children bring a packed lunch.
Mrs Morris and Ms Parker are the Nursery Class Teachers and Mrs Greenwood is our full time Nursery Nurse. Mrs Morris, Ms Parker and Mrs Greenwood will spend time visiting your child in their school setting as well as arranging home visits in order to ensure a smooth transition into Nursery.
Morning sessions are 8.50am – 11.50am
Afternoon sessions are 12.30pm – 3.30pm
There are many options:
- Take up your 15hr universal funded sessions
- Pay for extra sessions on top of your funded 15 hrs
- Apply for the 30 hrs extended funding if you are eligible
We have an excellent Before and After school provision run in school privately by Natalie which runs from 7.15am - school start and from finish of school to 6.00pm.
All of the above options are there to give you the maximum support you need so please ask about how you might want to configure your sessions.
